Of course. If you have extras in your group that aren’t flying on the day, then they are more than welcome to come along and watch us launch. They’ll be able to keep an eye on you from the ground for quite some time on a clear day! However, if we have to launch from a different site to the meeting spot, they may have to make their own way there and back.

Ballooning is not an option on Google maps unfortunately, and there is a reason for this. There is no steering in a balloon! The direction it takes is entirely dependent on the wind. This means that no two flights are the same. It’s a unique course and all part of the fun! So no, this isn’t an option I’m afraid.

Yes. We are experts in our field. Our pilots hold full commercial pilot licences and we are certified by the Civil Aviation Authority. We have the best kit out there, are well trained, and we know what we are doing.

We carry limited insurance cover against risk of injury to passengers during flights. This conforms with international agreements covering air transport.

We cannot make this decision for you sorry. It really isn’t up to us. You should always consult with your doctor before booking if you have a medical condition. However, we can say for certain that you should not fly if you are suffering from a serious medical condition, have just had surgery, are pregnant or if you are under the influence of drugs or alcohol. If you need to take medication whilst on the flight, this is of course allowed, but you should let your pilot know beforehand.

There are many different disabilities out there and we can accommodate for many of them. We have seated baskets and easy access baskets too. Please check with us before booking a flight and we can make sure you get what you need. Contact us to discuss what’s available.

Flights will not take place in rain or heavy, unpredictable winds or fog. These are considered bad weather conditions.

Ballooning is dependent on suitable weather and ground conditions. If the weather is considered inappropriate to fly or the ground does not allow for easy vehicle and trailer access, then flights will be cancelled. Should this be the case for you, you will be given as much notice as possible and your flight will be rescheduled for a later date.

If we deem the weather OK to fly on the day, then the flight will go ahead as planned. If you don’t like the look of the weather but we are OK with it (ie – it is suitable to fly), the flight will go ahead as planned and you will not be able to reschedule or be entitled to a refund.

Yes, of course you can, but you might want to reschedule it instead or talk with us about amending the booking. If you still want to cancel, you need to do this 2 weeks before your flight date in order to get a full refund. We reserve the right to cancel your flight at any time based on bad weather conditions, but we will reschedule it with you should this be the case.

Just give us a call on 01275 8340 140 to cancel your booking. If you send us an email, make sure it is very clear that you wish to cancel and if you don’t get a response within 24 hours, call us.

In order to get a full refund, you need to cancel your booking with us at least 2 weeks in advance of your flight date. Just call us to cancel and we’ll cancel your booking and start to process your refund.

If you do not turn up to your flight on the day, you will not be entitled to a refund and you will not be entitled to reschedule. We need at least 7 days’ notice if you can’t make your flight date and want to change the booking.

There is no age limit for adults, but they must be able to climb in and out of the basket, which is a little over a metre high. We can offer assistance but we can only do so much.

Children must be over 7 years old and accompanied by an adult.

It depends on the balloon. Check out the different flights we offer for details on minimum and maximum capacity. Many of the experiences are intended for 2-4 passengers at a time. Corporate events and weddings are no exception to this as they can give 2-4 passengers a ride at any given time, but as they are tethered balloons the experience is designed to have multiple ascents with different groups of passengers.

Passengers must be over 4 foot 6 inches high (1.4metres).

Any passengers whose weight exceeds 18 stone (114kg) should contact us before booking to let us know. There may be a surcharge for operational reasons but this will be considered case by case.

We offer several different services, such as strawberries and cream, Champagne, a hamper, cocktails or chocolate strawberries. You can choose any of these and pay for them whilst booking your chosen flight.  If you want something that’s not available on our website, just ring up and ask if it’s possible. We don’t bite.

We are pretty flexible to be honest. If you want a tailored experience or something done a bit differently to what we offer online, just ring us up and ask us. You won’t be the first. If it’s doable, we’d be happy to offer something different. Depending on what’s asked of us, we could requote and take the booking manually over the phone, or charge for an extra service separately if you’ve already booked.

We’re happy enough with you bringing a bottle of pop and some crisps if you want, but please don’t arrive with a full on picnic or a bucket of KFC.

We can’t allow you to fly if you are under the influence of alcohol, but you are allowed a drink. You can book a glass of champagne or a cocktail for the flight, but please don’t turn up with your own.

The Civil Aviation Authority has allowed balloon flights since March 21 and this has not changed. It is very unlikely at this stage to affect your booking but if your flight were to be cancelled due to Covid-19, it would be inline with another national lockdown and out of our hands, so there would be plenty of warning and you would of course get the chance to reschedule.

We have had strict Covid-19 protocols in place when they were required and our pilots are well trained. Currently, you do not need to wear a mask during your flight, but should you request it, our balloon pilots would be happy to oblige. We clean the balloon baskets after every flight and hand sanitiser is available should you require it.

Balloon flights vary throughout the season, in line with sunrise and sunset, but they always take place either early in the morning, just after sunrise, or a couple of hours before the sun sets.

Flights are typically around an hour in length, but the experience can take up to a few hours from arrival to departure depending on the day. This is because it’s sometimes necessary to transport passengers from the meeting point to an alternative launch site due to a shift in wind direction for example.

Please be on time for your booking, possibly a little early if possible, as every minute in the ballooning world changes with the weather. We will let you know your flight time and the time you should look at arriving at the meeting point closer to the day, depending on what time of year it is. The launch times will change along with the time of sunrise and sunset.

There is no rule to say we can’t fly in the daytime, but it is typically avoided due to unpredictable conditions. We stick to early morning and afternoon flights mostly, because this is when there are the optimum conditions for flying. The winds are calmer and the air inside the balloon is lighter than the air outside, meaning it will rise, which is always useful when flying!

This really depends on the wind. A typical flight sees the balloon fly between 500 and 3500 feet above the ground. You will see some fantastic views, however high you go on the day.

No, we suggest you don’t try ballooning if you are afraid of heights. We are ballooning experts and so know what we are doing. We also don’t take risks, so you are safe in our hands, but if you can’t stomach it, why put yourself in that position? You can always watch from the ground!

This, again, depends on the wind on the day. You may travel anywhere from 2 to 25 miles, but you’ll typically fly around 10 miles from A to B. Don’t worry though, however far we go, we’ll always make sure you get back to the meeting point once we land.

You don’t need to wear any special clothing for your flight. We recommend sensible outdoor clothes and footwear suitable to stand in a field. It’s advisable to not wear anything that could be lost to wind, such as a loose scarf or hat. Everyone should wear trousers, bring warmer clothing just in case it’s a bit nippy and possibly bring a well fitted hat.

You don’t need much. We advise you to bring a small bag with you to keep your possessions together. There will be space in the basket for it. We suggest packing warmer clothing, a drink and your camera! Also, don’t forget to bring your Booking details.

This is up to you. We advise that you dress sensibly, but we won’t ruin your special day by making you dress down. Perhaps, just pack a few extra bits just in case.

The main flying season is from April to October but if the date is available to book on our website, we are flying, weather permitting. You can always get in touch for a chat, if you are looking to book out of the typical flying season.

We typically fly twice a day, 7 days a week, during the flying season, so there is plenty of opportunity to book a day that suits. Flights are either early morning for the early birds or afternoon for the late risers.

This is impossible to answer ahead of a flight date I’m afraid. Making your booking in the main flying season is always a good bet but in terms of the day itself, it really does depend on the weather and wind conditions. If the weather is too grotty, we won’t fly and will reschedule with you.

All our flights operate across the South West with Weddings and Corporate Days being available nationally for no extra charge.

We are based in Bristol, in the South West. Bristol has long been known as ‘the hot air ballooning capital of the UK’, so here we are, in the thick of it.

Not on our website as such, but if you’d like to book one of our unique flight experiences outside of the South West we’d be delighted to offer a quote to bring our experienced team to you. Just drop us a message or call us to talk it through.

Everyone loves a gift card. Especially for something cool, like flying at up to 3,000 feet! We offer several gift cards for our flights, each for different amounts, depending on how flush you feel. Once bought, both the purchaser and the recipient will receive a notification and the gift card will be active for up to a year.

If you’ve been lucky enough to receive one of our gift cards, you have a year to use it at checkout from the date of purchase. As you can book a flight date up to a year in advance, that means, in theory, you can put your gift card towards a flight experience up to 2 years from when you receive it.

In order to use the gift card, all you have to do is go to our website, choose what experience you want from us, go to the checkout, input your gift card details and then pay the remaining amount.
